NOTIFICATION

The District School Education Board (DEB) is pleased to announce that its going to conduct Science Talent Examination with the name CADC Science Talent Search Examination-2024. The examination aims to identify, encourage and test the young students with an aptitude for science and mathematics and instill scientific temper among them.

Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in DEB affiliated Middle Schools. Maximum of 5 (five) students shall be allowed to participate from each school Syllabus: Syllabus for the examination will cover topics based on the academic textbooks of Science and Mathematics with the addition of Critical Thinking. The weightage of subject shall be as follows-

Awards and Recognition: Top performers will receive a certificate of Merit with a cash
prize of:

  • Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) for 1st Prize
  • Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand only) for 2nd Prize &
  • Rs. 10,000 /- (Rupees ten thousand only) for 3rd Prize.

Application Process: Interested students should submit their application form through their respective schools. Application form can be availed from the DEB office from Monday, 3rd June 2024 onwards. The date and venue of the Examination shall be declared in a separate notification in a later date.
We encourage all DEB affiliated schools to participate and facilitate their students to showcase their scientific talents through this examination.

Anand Kumar Chakma appointed as President of DSEB

In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-Rule 1 & 2 of Rule 15 of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (District School Education Board) Rules, 2002, the Executive Committee of Chakma Autonomous District Council is pleased to appoint Shri Anand Kumar Chakma, S/o Shri Nogendra Chakma of Devasora North as President of the District School Education Board (DEB), Chakma Autonomous District Council for a period of 3 (three) years with immediate effect.

Transfer of Ashman Chakma to General Services as Controller of Examination

In the interest of public service, the Executive Committee of Chakma Autonomous District Council is pleased to transfer the services of Shri Ashman Chakma, MST presently attached to DSEB to general services and shall hold the post of the Controller of Examination in the level 10 of pay matrix which he is already enjoying plus all other allowances as admissible under rules from time to time with immediate effect.

Issuance of Admit Cards for PSCE & MSCE 2024

This is to notify to all concerned that the District School Education Board, Chakma Autonomous District Council has decided to issue Admit Card from 8th January to 15th January, 2024 both for PSCE & MSCE candidates who are going to appear in the Common Examination. 2024.

Therefore, all Heads of Institutions are informed to collect the Admit Cards of their respective School from the office of DEB during office hours as per the dates mentioned above.

Appointment of Dg. Parimal Chakma as DSEB President

In exercise of powers conferred under Sub-Rule 2 of Rule 15 of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (District School Education Board) Rules 2002, the Executive Committee of the Chakma Autonomous District Council is pleased to appoint Dg. Parimal Chakma, MDC as the President of the District School Education Board with immediate effect.

Allocation of portfolios to the Executive Members of CADC

In exercise of powers conferred under Rule 30 of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2002 and as amended from time to time, the Chief Executive Member of Chakma Autonomous District Council is pleased to allocate the portfolios among the members of the Executive Committee of the 11th Chakma Autonomous District Council as shown below with immediate effect.

Second Edition of Changmha Grammar & Composition published by DSEB, CADC released

Kamalanagar, 29 June, 2022: The Second Edition of Changmha Grammar & Composition published by District School Education Board, Chakma Autonomous District Council was released today in a programme organized in the CADC Conference Hall. Dg. Buddha Lila Chakma, Hon’ble CEM, CADC did the honour of releasing the book.

The programme was attended by Dg. Kali Kumar Tongcahngya, Chairman, CADC, Dg. Lakhi Dhan Chakma, Deputy Chairman, CADC, Dg. Molin Kumar Chakma, President, DSEB, Dg. H. Amaresh Chakma, MDC, Dg. Roymanikyo Chakma, Secretary, DSEB, Dgb. Mandira Chakma, Sr. Academic Officer and HODs of various departments.

Dgb. Mandira Chakma while tracing the contribution of the District School Education Board in the development of the Chakma language for learning and teaching in CADC expressed thanks to all those who have been instrumental in the journey thus far. She has especially named Dg. Laxmi Bushan Chakma, Dg. Jayan Chakma, Dg. Sujoy Chakma, Dg. Anantasen Chakma, Dg. Ashman Chakma, Dg. Shanti Jiban Chakma and Dg. Anil Chakma besides among others.

She urged the authority of CADC and the Civil Society Groups to take up the initiative for recognition of the Chakma language as a state language in Mizoram.

She also took up the matter of acute shortage of personnel in some very important posts of the Board.

Hon’ble CEM speaking lauded the achievements of the Board despite shortages of personnel in some important posts.

Taking reference of the issue of shortage of staff raised by Dgb. Mandira Chakma the CEM assured to look into the matter.

With regards to the recognition of the Chakma Language as state language he said, “No stone shall be left unturned” while adding collective effort will be important.

He lauded the effort of the team behind the successful project of bringing out a revised edition of the Chakma Grammar, first published in 2017, citing the task assumes a tough character given these are pioneering stages.
