Kamalanagar 3 August, 2016: The CEM, CADC Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya called a meeting of all the contractors of on-going CSS works within CADC area to take stock of the status of work progress. The CADC Works Advisory Board headed by the Executive Secretary, CADC also attended the meeting.

Reports on the works under Modernization of Kamalanagar Town, blacktopping of Longpuighat-Kukurduleya road, construction of New CADC Secretariat, CADC Session Hall and CADC Cultural Hall were discussed.

Pu RV Hluna the contractor for the work—Construction of CADC Session Hall – stated that Deed of Agreement stronger than Power of Attorney for the work has been executed with Dgb. Sujata Chakma and therefore, all issues arising out of the work will be dealt by her.

The agent representing Shri Aziz Khan, the Power of Attorney holder for the works under Modernization of Kamalanagar Town Project and construction of new CADC secretariat informed that works will resume as soon as the monsoon retreats.
Works on the Longpuighat-Kukurduley road under NLCPR is being done by three contractors namely Pu Lalmachhuana Fanai, Pu Biakliana and Pu. F. Lalkaisanga. Pu Lalmachhuana and Pu F. Lalkaisanga gave Power of Attorney to Pu Biakliana and Dg. Lobindra Chakma respectively for execution of their portion of the work. Pu P.C. Vanlalawmpuia representing Pu Biakliana stated that work on their portion has been achieved to a great extent and assured to resume work with the withdrawal of the monsoon. He proposed to do the work with PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) instead of bitumen.
