Aizawl, 2 November 2015: Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC today met the Chief Minister Pu Lal Thanhawla. This was his first meeting with the Chief Minister after he was sworn in as Chief Executive Member of Chakma Autonomous District Council.
Dangu Chitra Kumar Chakma, Executive Member and Dangu Bubon Kumar Chakma, MDC accompanied the CEM. The meeting has been very successful, said the CEM.
The CEM submitted representations on various pressing issues. The new building of the Government Kamalanagar College is about to be completed very soon which was undertaken for construction under DONER during his previous term. The CEM appealed to the Chief Minister for sanction for blacktopping of the approach road to the new site of the College which the Chief Minister very strongly recommended for necessary action.
He also sought to fill up all the vacancies created following the termination of about 68 services under CADC recently. The services were terminated under pressure from the NGOs who alleged that the appointments were made without advertisement and interview.
The CEM apprised the Chief Minister that as many as 17 (seventeen) vehicles, 7 of Government and the rest private vehicles were damaged by agitated public following the killing of a student in police firing. The CEM asked for sanction to purchase new official vehicles which the Chief Minister strongly recommended.
