Tourist Lodge At Kamalanagar Handed Over To CADC

Kamalanagar, 7 April 2017: Pu V. Lalremthanga, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Mizoram who arrived Kamalanagar today at about 9 am handed over the charge for management of the Tourist Lodge owned by government of Mizoram located at Kamalanagar-4 to CADC represented by Dg. Purnendu Bikash Chakma, Executive Secretary, CADC.

The formal handing over and taking over took place today in presence of CEM, CADC at the Tourist Lodge while the deed of agreement was signed on 27/3/2017 between the government of Mizoram represented by the Secretary, Tourism Department and the Executive Secretary, CADC.
The Tourist Lodge will be managed by CADC for a period of 10 years on lease against payment of monthly rental of Rs.2000/-. The agreement offers to extend the term of lease for a further period of ten years at a time for a period of 20 years on the expiry of the lease.

Pu Lalremthanga who was accompanied by his wife shared his vision in revamping the Tourism Department of Mizoram. He said the handing over of the management of the Tourist Lodge at Kamalanagar to CADC is a part of the programme.
While sharing what they have in the pipeline he said, β€œWe are working on a project to introduce cable car in Mizoram and to start with it will be in Aizawl first.”

He has joined as Secretary, Tourism Department about a year ago. The two staff Dgb. Minky Chakma and Pu Rorelliana who are presently serving at the Tourist Lodge will be given a choice to opt to remain under the Government of Mizoram or transfer their service with CADC.
