CADC District Council Level Monitoring & Review Committee, NITI Ayog Meeting Held

Kamalanagar, 7 March 2017: The District Council Level Monitoring & Review Committee of CADC held its first meeting today in the CADC Conference Hall to examine the progress of different works taken up under Special Assistance of NITI Ayog.

The constitution of the Committee is mandated by the guidelines for utilization of Special Assistance fund under NITI Ayog. The Committee has been formed with the CEM, CADC as its Chairman, Executive Secretary, CADC as Member Secretary, MP, Lok Sabha, Mizoram, MP, Rajyo Sabha, Mizoram, Local MLA, MDCs and heads of line departments as members.
Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC, MDCs and officers of line departments attended the meeting.

CADC received Rs.4.58 Crore as Special Assistance under NITI Ayog in the current financial year. The fund was allocated for different works to the department of PWD, GAD, Art & Culture, Middle School Education, Primary School Education, Industry and Road Transport.
Some of the major works taken up are re-surfacing of Kamalanagar Town road, Installation of solar power plants, purchase of Kamalanagar town bus, commercialization of Dawchuni wine, etc. Most of the works were reported to have been completed except a few whose status are under progress.
