Kamalanagar, 28 September, 2015: Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya who has resigned from the office of Chairman, Chakma Autonomous District Council on 21/9/2015 has been appointed today as the Chief Executive Member, Chakma Autonomous District Council. This will be his second stint as CEM, CADC.

Dangu Buddhalila Chakma having resigned earlier on the same day from the office of Chief Executive Member, CADC the office of CEM, CADC was rendered vacant.

Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya was chosen anew the leader of the Congress Legislature Party of CADC on the same day. He staked claim before the Governor, Mizoram on 22/9/2015 to form the new Executive Committee of CADC which was rendered dissolved following the resignation of CEM, CADC Dangu Buddhalila Chakma.

Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya who has been camping at Aizawl since 22/9/2015 will return to Kamalanagar, headqurter of CADC tomorrow. The swearing in ceremony is expected at the earliest.

Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya earlier today met the Engineer-in-chief, PWD, Mizoram Pu ____, in his office chamber and discussed regarding the ongoing crisis due to blockade of all roads leading to Kamalanagar including helicopter service and boat service. The Joint Action Committee of all Chawngte area NGOs have called for the blockade in protest against the deplorable road condition of Chawngte-Lunglei road and Chawngte-Diltlang road.

The Engineer-in-chief assured the roads will be cleared and made motorable at the earliest. He stated that there has been a communication gap between the non-Mizo contractors working on the Chawngte-Lunglei road and the JAC. To ensure there is no misunderstanding in the future a Mizo manager has been detailed, he told. He also talked to the Executive Engineer, Lawngtlai District over telephone from his office regarding the problem faced in the Chawngte-Diltlang road.
